We’re currently seeking an experienced Care Assistant to cover weekend shifts at a care home in the Swanwick area of Alfreton. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, weekly paid hours while making a meaningful impact in a supportive care environment.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality care to residents throughout your shift, working closely with the existing team. Your duties will include providing personal care to both male and female residents, assisting with mobility using equipment such as hoists, slings, and rotundas, serving meals, recording basic information such as fluid intake, and completing domestic tasks as needed.
We’re looking for someone who is available across the weekend and can reliably commute to the Swanwick area for all shift times, including early Sunday mornings. If you’re dependable, compassionate, and experienced in elderly care, we’d love to hear from you.
To be suitable for this position you must have:
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate that is registered on the update service
- Up to date mandatory training
- Full up-to-date CV with employment history
- At least 2 years referenceable experience working within formal care settings
- Be able to provide reference details for two previous care employers, including the most recent employer.

This role offers ongoing part time hours
You will be working from 07:00 to 14:15 on Saturdays and/or Sundays
You will be paid £12.21 per hour, increasing to £13.33 after 13 weeks
