HGV Class 1 & Class 2 Driver - Temp to Perm
Location: Newton Aycliffe
The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established metal recycling company based in Newton Aycliffe, for a Temp to Perm HGV Driver. This is a great chance to secure a long-term role with steady hours and a supportive team.
The Role
- Working as part of a small team of drivers
- Three-week rota:
- Week 1: Class 1 - Chesterfield run
- Week 2: Class 1 - Local work
- Week 3: Class 2 - RORO & chain loader
- Supporting colleagues by switching between wagons when required
The Candidate
- Minimum 2 years' commercial HGV driving experience
- Valid Class 1 & Class 2 licence
- CPC & Digi Tacho
- Flexible, reliable and a good team player with a positive attitude
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm (40 hours per week)
- No weekend working
- Paid breaks
Pay Rates
- £14.04 per hour (£29,197.25 annual)
- Overtime (rare): £16.16 midweek / £18.47 weekends
