Actual salary - £7,662 per annum An opportunity has arisen at Overdale Junior School and Overdale Infant School for two Cleaners to join our team. You will take pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our learners by keeping cleanliness to a high standard and undertaking necessary procedures to assist with day-to-day maintenance across two schools, situated on the same site.
Job overview
As part of our wider school team, you will have responsibility for the overall cleanliness and security of the school classrooms and site, having awareness of security policies, maintaining supplies of cleaning materials, and working with other members of the site team to keep the site to a standard expected by leadership and management.
About you
• Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Awareness of the relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working around children and young people
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. COSHH, manual handling)
• Good time management and reliability
