Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary Range: £44,800 - £53,150 per annum pro rata (NHS Agenda for Change)

Grade: SDE (Band 6 equivalent)

Location: Denmark Hill & PRUH, Orpington

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rolling rota including weekends




We are seeking a Senior Critical Care Technologist to join our Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (NICU & PICU) team.
This is a vital role providing expert technical support across both sites, managing a wide range of medical devices and equipment
used in critical care settings.




You will be responsible for:

* Delivering training and competency assessments for clinical and technical staff.
* Supporting point-of-care testing and patient transfers.
* Providing technical advice and troubleshooting support.
* Ensuring safe and effective use of specialised medical equipment.
* Contributing to procurement evaluations and service development.




Qualifications & Experience Required:

* Degree in a relevant scientific subject (e.g. Physiology, Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering) or HNC in Medical Physics
& Physiological Measurement with significant CPD.
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. Society of Critical Care Technologists).
* Substantial experience in a busy critical care environment.
* Strong communication, IT, and problem-solving skills.
* Interest in teaching and staff development.
