Crynodeb
The Anaesthetic services are split across two sites; and are one of 3 major trauma centres in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Whilst in post there will be plenty of opportunity to become involved in teaching, audit, and research. The department run local courses for both the primary and final FRCA and strongly encourage clinical fellows to take part in those as needed. The post itself, will give the opportunity to rotate through the following sub-specialties Cardiothoracic, Neuro-anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, and General Anaesthesia for 3-month allocations. It would be expected that a Senior Clinical Fellow will be working with a degree of independence with senior consultant support and distant supervision available at all times. We would strongly support any audit and/or research interest, of which there is plenty to get involved with in the department. The post holder will be expected to take part in the on-call rota which is currently a 1 in 8. It is important to note that dependant upon previous experience; there may be a period of supernumerary work / local assessment prior to commencement on the on-call rota. In this period, basic pay will be applicable.
