Summary

Main Job Purpose:Working for a large Social Housing Provider, as a Clerk Of Works
Job Details:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Clerk of Works to oversee quality assurance and compliance on a new-build social housing development. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality homes that make a real difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and building regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and produce detailed reports on workmanship, materials, and progress.
  • Identify and report any defects or deviations from agreed standards.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and the client team to resolve issues and maintain quality.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and communications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Clerk of Works on residential construction projects, ideally within social housing.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, NHBC standards, and construction best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CIOB, ICW membership) are desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
