Contract: Temporary (28 Sept – 21 Dec 2025) likely to be extended
Hours: 20 per week | Mon–Fri, 08:30–14:30
Pay: £13.50/hr PAYE | £17.85/hr Umbrella/Ltd
Location: Cardfields, London Borough of Islington
Are you a hands-on team player who takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces? Do you enjoy working with both children and adults in a vibrant, community-focused setting? Cardfields is looking for a Centre Assistant to join our household management team and help deliver outstanding service to all visitors.
What You’ll Be Doing:
General cleaning and tidying across the centre
Changing and making up beds for site users
Assisting with meal prep, serving, and washing up
Engaging warmly with children, young people, and adults
Supporting health and safety standards and safeguarding practices
Occasionally working weekends as needed
What We’re Looking For:
A flexible, proactive attitude and strong work ethic
Experience in cleaning, catering, or care environments (preferred but not essential)
Willingness to complete child protection and food hygiene training (provided)
Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
