You join us at an exciting time as we integrate biodiversity further into the Planning system and our delivery programme expands, creating landscape scale habitats on land for Biodiversity Net Gain, responding to the Council's Nature Emergency and developing a pipeline of investment opportunities as we lead the Local Nature Recovery Strategy for Cheshire and Warrington.
You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work closely with other teams in the Council and achieve the best for biodiversity. In terms of field skills, FISC 3 or above is desirable, with working knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain and experience using Defra's statutory metric. Ideally you will hold Bat and/or GCN licenses to help supervise surveys and Council works affecting protected species.
