Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification The Trust is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and many of our services are acknowledged internationally for the quality of their provision. If you are expert in leading services effectively in order to see their patients as promptly, safely and efficiently as possible then we would be keen to hear from you. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and delivering Theatre performance across all specialties against national and local targets. The Head of Service (TACC) will work with service leads to improve performance and ensuring the performance framework is being adhered to across all services. This involves being fully conversant with the various trust information systems, and being able to extract and manipulate data that can be used to maintain accountability of performance. Within the next year the Trust will complete the building of the Cancer and Surgical Innovation Centre (CASIC) at our Guildford site (the Royal Surrey Hospital), which will provide six new operating theatres and well as brand new recovery and admission areas. This role is the operational lead of the programme, in conjunction with the programme team. The role will be responsible for leading and engaging operational and clinical teams in the CASIC programme, operational mobilisation of the project and delivering patient pathways to ensure effective patient flow across the New Surgical Cancer and Innovation Centre and existing main theatre environment. The post holder they will deputise for the Associate Director of Operations for Surgery and provide cross cover to the Head of Service for Surgery as required.
