About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Support Worker to join our New Horizons Complex Needs/Domestic Abuse Service in Cornwall.
Based in St Austell, you’ll travel across Cornwall to provide vital, person-centred support to individuals living in LiveWest-owned independent properties. This role is all about building meaningful connections and empowering people facing complex challenges such as substance misuse, mental health issues, domestic abuse, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored, one-to-one support to individuals with complex needs.
- Help customers manage finances, access benefits, and maintain tenancies.
- Support health and wellbeing improvements through holistic, person-led plans.
- Provide emotional encouragement and practical guidance to build independence.
- Conduct effective risk assessments and ensure safeguarding protocols are followed.
- Develop strong partnerships with external services and support networks.
- Work flexibly, including late shifts and some weekends, to meet customer needs.

About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Support Worker – Supported Housing, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:
- Have an understanding of support needs and support planning.
- Have experience of risk assessing and risk management.
- Be a great communicator with the ability to build a rapport.
- Have accurate record keeping and computer skills.
- Confident in lone working and be a good team player.
- Have a flexible approach to work.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Be resilient and adaptable.
- Have an open, friendly personality and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without requiring sponsorship.
