Developing and implementing AAT’s research and insight strategy, aligned to organisational priorities.

Overseeing large-scale research projects and translating findings into strategic recommendations.
Supporting thought leadership and policy development through evidence-based insights.
Embedding insight into business planning, performance measurement, and decision-making.
Managing external research partnerships and ensuring robust, ethical research practices.
Acting as a key advisor to senior leaders and representing the function at SLT level when required.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience leading strategic research and insight functions.
Strong knowledge of research methodologies, data analysis tools, and insight frameworks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
A track record of using insights to drive organisational strategy and performance.
Experience managing teams and budgets and fostering a culture of evidence-based decision making.
Strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling narratives.
If you are passionate about using insight to shape strategy and drive impact, we would love to hear from you. The start date for the role will be 5 January 2026.

25 days’ annual leave, increasing one day per year up to a maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays.
Great pension scheme, life assurance and critical illness cover.
Health cash plan.
Enhanced maternity and shared parental leave contributions of up to 6 months’ full pay depending on the length of service.
Regular wellbeing initiatives.
Cycle2Work scheme and much more

It’s an exciting time to join AAT and we would love you to join us on our journey. In 2023 we achieved one-star company status in the Best Companies survey and we have recently launched our strategy to 2030.
We are committed to being an inclusive and welcoming place to work. We encourage applications from diverse candidates and make recruitment decisions based on skill and experience. We have a Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Champions group, which leads on our D&I strategy and organise events to celebrate and raise awareness. We are a disability-confident committed employer and have signed up to the Race at Work Charter.
