We are looking for a reliable, hardworking kitchen assistant/cook to join our team.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE OF PREPARING AND COOKING FOOD WITHIN A KITCHEN ENVIRONMENT AND BE FULLY CONFIDENT WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF FOOD HYGIENE AND FOOD ALLERGY REGULATIONS.
We operate Monday to Saturday 9:30am until 6pm, so flexibility is very important. This is a permanent, full time position worked over 3 to 4 days, which includes a Saturday. Additional hours available at busier times, to cover staff holidays/sickness and during school holiday time. Immediate start is available and desirable.
Candidates must be 18+ to comply with insurance.
Duties will include :
•The responsibility for the preparation and cooking of the Eden Centre menu.
•Opening & closing the kitchen by completing all necessary checks and paperwork.
•Ensuring that hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen is of the highest standard and in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation.
•Previous cooking experience required. Food hygiene qualification Level 2 minimum – hygiene course can be renewed and paid for through the company. Food allergy and intolerance knowledge is essential.
The candidate must be able to work on their own initiative and work well within a team and be confident of their ability within what can be a high pressured, fast paced environment.
