Loretto RC Primary school is a denominational school with classes and a nursery serving Musselburgh, Whitecraig and Wallyford.
We are looking for a class teacher to join our friendly, family school, where, through our Catholic ethos we believe in ourselves, each other and strive to achieve the best for all. The school has benefited from very supportive parents through the work of Loretto Parent Partnership and continues to have very good engagement from pupils and families and has strong links with the local parish.
Building on previous professional learning, learning outdoors has blossomed with all classes showing co-operation, creativity and problem solving skills in a wide variety of outdoor learning activities. Children participate in national awards and have achieved P5 John Muir Award and P7 Pope Francis Award as well as being awarded Rights Respecting Schools Silver status and a registered Laudato Si (Eco) School.
The school celebrates the achievements of pupils through pupil leadership opportunities and weekly assemblies. The school community is outward looking and promotes Responsible Citizenship and Global Citizenship through or events and charity work.
