Contract: Permanent
Salary: £25,989 - £28,142 (full time full year equivalent)
Actual Salary: £19,704 - £21,338 per annum (Grade 3)
Work Pattern: Term time, plus 5 days
Hours: 32.5 per week (Monday to Friday, 8.30am 3.30pm)

Based: St Luke’s C of E Primary School, Albion Street, Chadderton, Oldham, OL9 9HT

Role Overview:
The Head teacher and Governors of St Luke’s Primary School wish to appoint a suitably qualified, outstanding and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our highly motivated and dedicated team to work with SEN children. This role will be both 1:1 and small group work. The role will entail working with children with SEMH needs. As a result of their needs, the applicant must be patient, hardworking, resilient, calm but firm and consistent in their approach.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Have high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in the role.
  • Be self-motivated, resilient, and able to work cooperatively as part of the school team and wide school community.
  • Experienced and skilled in working closely with children with SEND.
  • Be prepared to undertake training and ongoing personal development.


Safeguarding:
Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent) and our safeguarding and child protection policies
Promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school
Will be required to follow school policies and the staff code of conduct.
