We’re proud to host two Resourced Provisions: one for Speech, Language and Communication Needs, and another for Autism. As part of a thriving federation with Pinewood Infant School, we offer exciting collaborative opportunities across all stages.
The Federation are looking for a skilled and experienced HLTA to join our team. The post will provide support and learning for children team primarily within the resourced provision for children with SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs). The successful candidate will be able to ensure that our children are supported in their education within the RP classroom, mainstream classes and through specific small group and 1:1 provision. As an employee of Guillemont, staff need to be flexible as we move around the school.The successful candidate(s) will
• Be trained to NVQ3 standard for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Meet the Higher Level Teaching Assistant Standards
• Demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills, (GCSE Grades A-C in Maths & English).
• Implement learning activities based on their working knowledge of the national curriculum using relevant programmes and strategies that have they have adapted to meet the child’s needs.
• Have at least 2 year’s relevant experience in a teaching environment
• Have a well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of people.

• Are motivated to support and help the learning of children with additional needs.
• Can be professionally discrete and are able to respect confidentiality.
• Have the ability to think on your feet and be highly effective at using your initiative.
