Full time role for a Learning Support Assistant to work with children with special educational needs.
Park Mead Primary School is seeking to appoint a full time Learning Support Assistant from October 2025, to support children with a range of special educational needs.
The role will involve primarily 1:1 support and is offered as a temporary child linked contract for 31.25 hours per a week, including lunchtime supervision, term time only, plus 3 INSET days.
While prior experience supporting children with additional needs particularly in communication, interaction or autism, would be ideal, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are the most important qualities.
The role is full time, 5 days a week Monday-Friday 8.45am-3.30pm, 31.25 hours per week, to commence in October 2025.
Salary is based on Surrey Pay scales PS3 (£24,330 Full Time Equivalent), with a pro-rata salary of
£17,982.88. The final salary will reflect the successful candidate’s skills, experience and training, as assessed at interview.
Park Mead Primary School is a two-form entry all through primary school serving the community of Cranleigh and its surrounding villages. We have excellent facilities both in school and out and are active with the local community of schools. You will be a vital member of our team, working within a well- resourced environment with children who are keen to learn and like to be challenged, with a very supportive parent body.
We can offer a vibrant learning environment with an emphasis on high levels of achievement, high expectations, yet a caring ethos which focuses on the development of the whole child.
Please contact Mr N McAuliffe (Headteacher) or Mrs C Baker (Assistant Headteacher/Early Years Lead) via the school office for more details.
The closing date is Friday 3rd October. Interviews will be held week commencing 6th October. We reserve the right to appoint prior to the closing date.
