Working Hours: 15 hours per week (9am-12 midday) / 39 weeks per year

We are delighted to be able to offer a Teaching Assistant role at our forward looking school. The role will involve the successful applicant working with children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to develop their reading skills in small groups before leading a Year 6 maths group. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing, to develop children’s learning, to improve the children’s life chances and to work with children across different year groups.
You will need to be an enthusiastic team player with a positive outlook to facilitate the children reaching their full potential. Experience of working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) children would be an advantage, although not essential. Ideally you will be patient and calm, with a consistent and positive approach to managing pupils’ behaviour and a good understanding of how children learn.
Godstone is a vibrant Foundation School with a recent ‘GOOD’ Ofsted grading that provides education for pupils aged 2-11 years. We offer a creative curriculum, including Forest School, pupils who are eager to learn, and staff who are friendly, supportive and continually striving to provide the very best for the children.
