What You’ll Be Doing

As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to raise attainment and help students thrive. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing academic support to students 1:1 and in small groups

  
  

• Assisting in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science

  
  

• Helping students prepare for assessments and develop effective study habits

  
  

• Supporting learners who may be at risk of underachievement

  
  

• Encouraging confidence, motivation, and active engagement in lessons

  
  

• Contributing to data tracking and progress monitoring with staff

  This opportunity would suit you if you:

  • Are a recent graduate (2:1 or above) in a relevant subject (e.g. English, Maths, Science, Psychology, Education)

    
    

  • Have a genuine interest in education and working with secondary-aged students

    
    

  • Are considering a PGCE, teacher training, or further study in education

    
    

  • Are proactive, patient, and enthusiastic about helping young people succeed

    
    

  • Have strong communication skills and work well as part of a team

    
    

  • Have experience working with young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or volunteering
