Location: Office-based (High Wycombe)

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 + Benefits

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (9am-5:30pm)

Remarkable Jobs are recruiting for a Systems Monitoring Officer to join a forward-thinking, technology-led organisation. This role focuses on smart monitoring of infrastructure systems, using internal IT platforms to detect faults, track performance, and ensure uptime across nationwide operations.

Systems Monitoring Officer Role:

As a Systems Monitoring Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring live system performance through internal dashboards and IT tools. You will detect and escalate issues, analyse fault patterns, and support engineers and service teams in resolving problems quickly. Your work will directly contribute to service reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Smart monitoring of systems to identify faults and performance issues using internal IT platforms.


• Log, track, and escalate issues through internal systems and monitoring dashboards.


• Analyse system data to identify trends and recurring issues.


• Prepare monitoring reports and performance updates for management.


• Maintain accurate monitoring records to ensure compliance and audit readiness.


• Liaise with engineers, service desk, and operations teams to coordinate issue resolution.


• Contribute to long-term improvements in monitoring processes and system performance.


What They Are Looking For:

Essential:

• Experience in a technical monitoring or IT-based role.


• Strong IT literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).


• Ability to interpret monitoring data and act on performance trends.


• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Detail-focused, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively.


Desirable:

• Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and SQL (SSMS, TSQL).


• Experience using IT platforms for smart monitoring or technical reporting.


• Previous experience in a service environment with a focus on uptime and performance.
