Role Overview
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will provide technical support in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in civil engineering looking to apply their technical knowledge on-site and in the office.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, plans, and specifications for civil engineering projects
Support Project Engineer in daily operations
Monitor construction activities for compliance with specifications, drawings, and safety regulations
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Prepare and maintain project documentation, technical reports, and site records
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and quality control checks
Assist in procurement of materials and managing on-site inventory
Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project stages
Attend progress meetings and prepare regular project status reports. Requirements

Essential:
HNC/HND or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction processes, and materials
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid UK driving licence or willingness to travel between sites

Desirable:
Familiarity with AutoCAD or other civil engineering design software
CSCS card or equivalent safety certification
Previous site experience (placement, internship, or work experience)
