We are looking for a caring and committed Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join a inclusive school on a long-term temporary basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of additional needs while gaining valuable classroom experience. Starting as soon as possible.
Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
Help adapt lesson materials and activities to suit individual learning needs.
Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes independence and confidence.
Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to implement personalised support plans and EHCP targets.
Keep accurate records of progress and communicate regularly with staff and parents/carers.
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
Experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, patience and a nurturing approach as SEND Teaching Assistant.
Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to the welfare of all pupils.
