Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who receives direct payments.
A little about myself:
I am a married lady in her early 50s, living in Swansea. I have a neurological condition (EPILEPSY) and partial sight, although I’m very positive about my condition, and like my independence. I enjoy going to the theatre, live concerts, comedy nights, Cinema and films, and reading. My hobbies include Yoga, walking my dog and singing.
Driver required to take me out.
Female preferred.

Essential:
I need you to:
• Be female
• Drive and have a car to take me out
• Be willing to undertake epilepsy first aid training.
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You have previous experience.
I’d like support with:
• Attending hospital appointments with me, as I lose my balance while walking
• Assisting me with shopping
• Assisting me within the home, with household chores, as I feel tired
in the afternoon.
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
