Job Title: Team Leader - Landscaping & Fencing
Location: Alvechurch + customer premises
Department: Production Services
Accountable to: Contract Manager
Salary: Competitive, discussed individually
Working Hours: 45 hours per week
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Team Leader to oversee and manage landscaping and fencing operations. As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in leading a team of Landscaping Operatives, ensuring high-quality service, safety, and productivity across our customer sites.
In this hands-on position, you'll supervise day-to-day operations, mentor your team, and maintain strong communication with both internal and external stakeholders. You'll be responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring health and safety standards, and keeping work on track with top-notch standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide your team, ensuring excellent service delivery and adherence to company standards.
• Provide daily instructions, monitor performance, and deliver feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
• Ensure all tools and vehicles are maintained and meet operational requirements.
• Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance across all activities.
• Complete necessary documentation (timesheets, checklists) and manage resources effectively.
Requirements:
• At least 3 years in landscaping/fencing; supervisory experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
• Clean driving license
• Health & Safety knowledge
• Landscaping qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3) preferred.
Skills:
• Proficient in landscaping/fencing techniques and equipment use; strong communication skills; ability to manage staff and work to deadlines.
• A team player who leads by example, is dependable, and has a strong customer service focus.
• Capable of manual work and using tools and machinery safely.
