Job description:
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated General Engineer to join our team within a long-standing family company in Northwest Leicester. The ideal candidate will be able to manufacture bespoke designs from drawings (low volume production) and provide maintenance and repair to clients products.
Responsibilities & Main Duties
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, sketches and work specifications.
Ensure all dimensions are checked and verified when required.
Working accurately and efficiently with a high attention to detail.
Taking responsibility for time management and scheduling to make sure jobs are completed on time.
Skills & Experience
Understand technical drawings.
Ability to work on your own initiative
Excellent time management skills
Ability to build trust and good working relationships with colleagues
Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
Excellent attention to detail
Experience in manual milling, turning , machining and lathe work.
Use to working with a variety of materials, including Brass, Bronze, Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Nylon and PTFE.
Expected minimum of 5 years working within a similar role.
Qualifications - we have no set requirements. Hands on experience in a similar role is the most important factor.
Drivers licence, whilst not essential, it is desirable.
