A Passenger Assistant at Forge Travel supports school runs by supervising children from boarding to drop-off while riding with the route driver; pay is modest, and the main benefits are predictable routines and hands-on child supervision experience.
Role Overview:
As an entry-level, term-time–only position, you will be picked up and dropped off by the driver at designated stops, focusing solely on observing and ensuring student safety during the journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist children on and off the vehicle at each stop.
Secure seat belts, harnesses, or car seats as required.
Monitor student behaviour throughout the trip to maintain a calm, orderly environment.
Alert the driver immediately to any safety or conduct concerns.
Help younger or less mobile children step safely on and off the vehicle.
Candidate Requirements:
Patient, attentive, and genuinely caring attitude toward children.
Availability for consistent morning and afternoon shifts during school terms.
Clearance of required background checks and completion of child-safeguarding training.
What You’ll Gain:
Stable, predictable hours and routes with no administrative duties.
Practical experience in child supervision and passenger assistance on school transport.
