Essential
• AAT qualified
• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification
• GCSE Grade A*-C or equivalent in both English and Maths
• Experience of using accounts and budgetary software
• Knowledge of best value and financial regulations
• Experience of using Excel/Word
• Experience working in a busy finance department
• Experience of cash handling
• Experiencing of line managing people
• Ability to form and maintain appropriate and effective relationships with others
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• Good ICT skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Motivation to support staff in achieving the best outcomes for children and young people by advising on appropriate allocation of financial resources
Desirable
• Understanding of the Academy Financial Handbook
• Experience of working in finance within an education setting
• Experience of office administration
• Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people
