Join Our Team as a Support Officer for Young People in Medway!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the drive to help those facing homelessness
or care experiences build a brighter future? If so, we want you on our team! We're looking for dedicated and compassionate Support
Officers to join our foyers in Medway.

About you

As a Support Officer, you will be at the heart of our mission, working directly with young people aged 16-25 who have experienced
social exclusion. Your role will involve:

* Case Management: Provide personalized support and guidance to help young people live independently within the community.
* Life Skills Development: Assist young people in gaining essential life skills, education, qualifications, training, and
employment opportunities.
* Community Integration: Foster a sense of belonging and independence among the youth.




Working Pattern (various shifts)

Week 1:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday : Early shift: 8am – 4pm

Thursday : Late shift 12 – 8pm

Friday : Late 12 – 8.00pm




Key Responsibilities

* Work closely with Children’s Services, families, and both statutory and voluntary agencies.
* Deliver housing-related support in line with our policies and the Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework (QAF).
* Assist with Ofsted and Foyer Federation annual audits.
* Conduct quarterly support plan meetings, risk assessments, and regular key work meetings.
* Prioritize educational, training, and employment outcomes for NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth.
* Lead Team Around a Child (TAC) or Team Around a Young Person (TAYP) meetings.
* Implement and support resettlement plans.




What You'll Need

* Proven experience working with young people aged 16-25.
* Knowledge of housing and personal benefits.
* Experience with complex support needs.
* Proactive and enthusiastic approach to interacting positively with young people.
* Ability to work independently in an open environment.
* Excellent IT skills and flexibility to adapt to new systems.
* Ability to develop a specialist task.
* A valid driving license and a private vehicle for work use.




Note: Employment is subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance, and enhanced-level DBS clearance.
