EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant
We are looking for an outstanding, qualified, and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our junior school (Fan Court). This role will work across Early Years and KS1, working term time only (35 weeks).
Fan Court is an integral part of the larger school and is located in a spacious woodland setting with its own purpose-built facilities and play areas. There is a nurturing and encouraging approach to each child’s development whilst ensuring appropriate academic rigour and monitoring of progress. Through a broad and forward-looking curriculum, we aim to embed creative and independent learning as an intrinsic part of the curriculum.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS and KS1
Assisting in planning and delivering a creative, forward-looking curriculum
Helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically
Assist in supervising our after-school club (Pre-Nursery to Year 6)
Contributing to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school
The successful candidate will have:
Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) qualification, or equivalent (or working towards it)
Experience with children aged 2½ to 7 years
A sunny personality and a nurturing approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
A team player with a commitment to professional development
Full details of the role are outlined in the job description.
In return we offer a competitive salary and all the benefits of working in a thriving independent school including generous contributory pension, 5 x life assurance, free lunches during term time, onsite parking and a cycle to work scheme.
Closing date: 9:00am Monday 29 September 2025
Early applications are encouraged, and we reserve the right to interview suitable candidates ahead of the closing date
