An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Oncology and Palliative Directorate for a band 6 Charge Nurse (Oncology Day Unit) based on 6 West, here at Charing Cross Hospital. Do you fancy a change and an excellent leadership opportunity?

You will need to be an experienced chemotherapy administrator who is energetic and flexible in their approach to work. This is a great opportunity for a confident, committed clinical leader who is driven by challenges and demonstrates personal resilience working in a fast moving and changing care environment.

• Administration of SACT
• Administration of supportive medication
• Patient and family education and support, pre and post treatment
• Assessing patients' physical and psychological well-being and providing the necessary support
• Managing treatment side effects and complications
• Communication and collaboration
• Technical skills, eg Care of CVAD's, Ports and PICC. Expertise in cannulation
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Prepping of patients, pretreatment (Bloods, consents, prescriptions)
• Knowledge of supportive procedures around SACT administration, eg, Scalp coolin
