You’ll work closely with experienced MFL teachers and dedicated support staff, all of whom are committed to creating engaging and accessible lessons that help students build language skills and global perspectives.

Your Role as an MFL Graduate Teaching Assistant

You’ll support students in a range of language lessons (primarily French and/or Spanish), helping them to develop their confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting students during class, helping them to understand vocabulary, grammar, and cultural content

  
  

• Delivering one-to-one or small group interventions for students who need extra help

  
  

• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and resource development

  
  

• Promoting a positive learning environment that encourages language use and cultural curiosity

  
  

• Helping with revision sessions, exam preparation, and assessment support

  
  

• Building strong relationships with students to support their confidence and progress

  This role would suit someone who:

  • Holds a 2:1 degree or above in French, Spanish, German, or a related MFL subject

    
    

  • Is interested in a future career in teaching, education, or language support

    
    

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    
    

  • Is passionate about promoting language learning and intercultural understanding

    
    

  • May have prior experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or volunteering)
