• Supporting and guiding catering staff and working closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure meal preparation meets high standards
• Monitoring kitchen and food safety standards to maintain compliance and excellence
• Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of catering staff
• Auditing nursery kitchens to ensure they meet internal and external food safety requirements (TCC and PSN)
• Ensuring all kitchen paperwork is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant
• Building strong, professional relationships with nursery staff to create a collaborative kitchen environment
Previous experience in similar settings — such as nurseries, schools, care homes, or hospitals — is highly desirable, particularly where nutritional needs and food hygiene are a priority.
