This post is integral to providing senior leadership to nursing and support teams at the NRC, taking deputy ward manager / team leader responsibility for high quality, efficient, safe and compassionate care in a rehabilitation setting.
If you were successful, you would become a key part of shaping the service going forwards and contribute, with other professional colleagues, in paving the future of rehabilitation in the UK. The model is to deliver rehabilitation regionally, with the East Midlands being the first, with others to follow.

Assess the care needs of patients and develop a program of care which is evaluated and amended as appropriate.
Carry out relevant forms of direct and indirect patient care without direct supervision.
Work as part of the interdisciplinary team to assess, evaluate and deliver care to patients..
Utilise and integrate evidence into practice.

Make sound clinical decisions based on the assessment of patients, including that of safe nurse lead discharges.

This role will be temporarily based at our current unit Linden Lodge at City Hospital until we move to the 70 bed NRC facility in summer 2025, and will continue to deliver early, goal-directed rehabilitation to patients transitioning from our regional Neurosurgery, Spinal and Major Trauma Centres.
