An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Technician/Pharmacy technician Band 4 to join our Pharmacy Team at the London Clinic. This opportunity is based at our 22 Devonshire Place, London, site where the successful candidate will get to join our expanding multidisciplinary Pharmacy team. Job Summary The post holder will assist in ensuring that aseptic services are delivered in a safe, effective, economical and timely manner.The post holder will be involved in the supervision of day-to-day compounding activities within the aseptic unit and will assist with workload prioritisation, ensuring standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are upheld. Job Type: Full Time Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week Location: The London Clinic Main Hospital, 22 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW. Salary: £29,735 - £35,733 Dependent on experience Benefits package: Contributory pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%). Duties & Responsibilities To supervise staff working in the cleanroom environment, and support the Deputy Aseptic Services Manager as required. Actively encourage the adherence to all procedures relating to ASU, and suggest changes in practices and procedures as appropriate. To be a role model to junior staff and actively encourage adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Proactively assemble trays for doses requiring compounding with the appropriate materials, prioritising on the day additions. Participate in the safe and accurate manufacturing and dispensing of cytotoxic, hazardous and monoclonal preparations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and standards of GMP, as well as national and local guidelines. To perform in-process volume checks for operators during the compounding process. To perform the final release of aseptically prepared products, as deemed appropriate by ASU Management. To liaise with the releasing pharmacist and ASU Management to ensure the safe, efficient and timely delivery of aseptic products, facilitating workload prioritisation and co-ordination within the scope of own capacity and authority. Ensure an efficient medicines and sundries top-up service is provided to the Aseptic Services Unit (ASU). Skills and Qualifications Full Science Manufacturing Technician Level 3 qualification Evidence of Continual Professional Development (CPD) Experience of working in a cleanroom environment Experience of completing quality assurance and control activities including environmental and facilities monitoring Experience of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team Experience of aseptic dispensing and preparation Ability to carry out cleaning of equipment and facilities in accordance P lease see job description attached for further duties.
