Cleaning Operative – Devon and Somerset Fire
Location: The Knowle, Exeter, EX3 0NW
Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 15:00 – 18:00 (15 hours per week)
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Times can be changed for right applicant.
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team and maintain high standards of cleanliness at Exmouth Fire Station. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all staff and visitors. Days and times can be adjusted for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and sanitising all areas, including offices, communal areas, restrooms, and kitchens.
Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
Emptying bins and disposing of waste responsibly.
Cleaning glass, mirrors, and other surfaces as required.
Replenishing cleaning supplies and consumables.
Following health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines.
Reporting any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the supervisor.
Requirements:
Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Good attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
