About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, confident, and self-motivated individual to join our small, supportive café team at The Park Centre. You will work under the supervision of the Senior Café Assistant and contribute to the smooth running of our café, which plays an important role in serving our local community.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about food, enjoys working with people, and is eager to learn new skills in a welcoming environment. We are an independent, charity-run organisation with a strong community focus.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food and drinks
• Performing washing-up and general kitchen duties
• Providing front-of-house service to customers
• Handling cash and completing daily reporting tasks
• Helping to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
• Following established food hygiene and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support your team
• Ability to work with a diverse range of people
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and reliable
Desirable:
• Experience in a café, bar, or kitchen environment
• Food preparation or customer service experience
• Knowledge of food hygiene standards (training can be provided)
Other Information
• A DBS check is required for this position
• Full training will be provided
• This is a flexible, part-time role, and hours may vary depending on business needs
