Our client, a highly respected nursery in Camberley, Surrey, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-time Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of exceptional early years education and care to children aged 0-5 years.
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Lead Teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of each child. You will assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and experiences that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging and educational activities
- Observing and assessing children's progress, maintaining accurate records, and sharing insights with parents and colleagues
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in your care, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and team members, fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting learning environment, in line with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, nappy changes, and rest periods
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early years education
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent experience
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development and well-being
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- A creative and resourceful approach to planning and delivering engaging learning experiences
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to go above and beyond to support the needs of the children and the nursery
