SEN Teaching Assistant - Part-Time / Ad Hoc
Near West Drayton | £95-£110 per day
A newly opened specialist provision just 10 minutes from West Drayton is seeking a flexible, committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join its team on a part-time or ad hoc basis. The setting supports children with autism and moderate learning difficulties in a purpose-built, therapeutic environment.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has practical experience supporting pupils with ASC, ADHD, or learning needs
- Can confidently adapt EHCPs and tailor learning to individual profiles
- Uses tools like visual schedules, sensory strategies, and AAC
- Brings consistency, empathy, and a collaborative mindset
Desirable extras:
- Team Teach or similar behaviour support training
- Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools
- Strong understanding of safeguarding in specialist settings
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
