The Opportunity
A welcoming secondary school in Derby (DE21) is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their supportive team. This long-term role offers stability, consistent hours, and the chance to make a meaningful difference to pupils' learning and development. The school's ethos centres around Inspiring, Nurturing, and Empowering every child - supporting not just academic success, but also communication, independence, social, and emotional growth. Role Responsibilities:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Providing targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
- Supporting positive behaviour, focus, and engagement in lessons.
- Covering classes to ensure continuity of learning.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and wider pastoral tea
What We're Looking For:
- Ideally, a HLTA qualification (or equivalent secondary experience).
- Confident supporting KS3/KS4 pupils.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Adaptable, resilient, and committed to pupil growth.
