Job Title: Industrial Cleaner

Location: Bilborough Reports to: Site Manager Hours: Part time hours- Monday to Friday / 06.30am – 11.30 a.m Job Purpose

To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment across industrial and production facilities by carrying out cleaning duties in line with company and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deep cleaning of machinery, production areas, warehouses, and communal spaces.

  
  

• Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and vacuum systems.

  
  

• Handle and correctly dilute industrial cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations.

  
  

• Safely remove waste, recycling, and hazardous materials as required.

  
  

• Ensure work areas meet cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.

  
  

• Carry out high-level cleaning (scaffolding, MEWP, or ladders) if trained.

  
  

• Follow site safety rules, PPE requirements, and company procedures at all times.

  
  

• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or accidents promptly to the supervisor.

  
  

• Work independently or as part of a team to meet daily cleaning schedules and targets.

  
  Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment (training provided if necessary).

    
    

  • Ability to follow health & safety and COSHH guidelines.

    
    

  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness.

    
    

  • Good time management and ability to work to schedules.

    
    

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.

    
    

  • Flexible and adaptable to different tasks and environments.

    
    Qualifications & Experience

    • Previous industrial or commercial cleaning experience desirable but not essential (training provided).

      
      

    • COSHH awareness (advantageous).

      
      

    • Use of machinery such as scrubber dryers, pressure washers, or MEWPs (advantageous).

      
      

    • Health & Safety training or certificates (preferred).

      
      Working Conditions

      • Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, or cleaning chemicals (PPE provided).

        
        

      • May be required to work shifts, weekends, or nights depending on site requirements.

        
        

      • Role involves standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and manual handling
