Practice Development and Education are offering a 12-month fixed term/secondment opportunity for an Associate Clinical Educator.

We are looking for an innovative and highly motivated Associate Clinical Educator to join our team. Are you dynamic, enthusiastic and have a commitment to education? The post holder will support clinical educators on the training programme and pastoral support of all health care support workers. The role encompasses the preparation and delivery of classroom-based teaching sessions, clinical skills training and workshops using appropriate teaching styles, equipment, and technology to optimise learning and development. To ensure that our health care support worker workforce is prepared to deliver essential care safely, effectively, and compassionately. Primarily this role will be supporting our Band 2 – Band 3 pathway progression for NNUHFT staff.

• To support Clinical Educators in the delivery of both the theoretical and practical components of educational, developmental and training programmes, using a range of teaching/learning styles within scope of practice.
• To coach learners on various educational and training programmes, enhancing their learning experience and their understanding of how different roles contribute to the patient’s care and experience.
• To support and encourage the development of unregistered Health Care Support Workers to progress along a career pathway with can lead to registration, undertaking apprenticeships and other programmes of learning, with a step on step off approach.
