What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to lead our English Department. This role is pivotal in continuing the school’s plans to achieve excellence for all our students.
The successful candidate will be expected to continue to develop and deliver an innovative and challenging curriculum which caters for the diverse needs of our students, and contribute towards the strategic leadership and management of the school. We require an excellent classroom practitioner who is a creative thinker with strong communication and leadership skills and will work closely with other Directors of Curriculum Area in developing provision that ensures a high-quality experience for all.
You should have good inter-personal skills and a proven track record of successfully implementing departmental strategies to develop teaching and learning across the English Department. You will have a proven track record of promoting outstanding progress and outcomes for students at GCSE and A Level.
