About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Worker to join a school in Bradford. This is a full-time position, with an immediate start, for an individual who is committed to providing outstanding pastoral care. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting student's emotional, social, and academic well-being. This is a highly rewarding role where you will be an essential point of contact for students, providing guidance and support to help them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a pastoral support, youth work, or similar role.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., in counselling, youth work, or education) is desirable.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

- The capacity to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Effective organisational and time-management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group pastoral support to students.
- Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
- Implement and monitor pastoral support plans for students with specific needs.
- Address and de-escalate challenging behaviour and emotional issues.
- Organise and facilitate workshops and interventions focused on student mental health and resilience.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and support provided.
- Act as a key point of contact for students who require a safe space to talk and be heard.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture where all students feel valued and supported.
- Contribute to the school's safeguarding procedures and protocols.
- Assist in the transition process for new students to ensure a smooth and supportive start.
