The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive school in Wakefield. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible. As a key member of the school's team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of pupils. You will work alongside experienced teachers, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all. Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons
  • Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis with pupils
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour
  • Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development
  • Assisting with the supervision of pupils during break times and lunchtimes
  • Providing feedback to the class teacher on pupils' progress
  • Supporting pupils with personal care if required
  • Creating a positive and safe learning environment
  • Attending and contributing to staff meetings and training sessions
