The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive school in Wakefield. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible. Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons
- Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis with pupils
- Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour
- Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development
- Assisting with the supervision of pupils during break times and lunchtimes
- Providing feedback to the class teacher on pupils' progress
- Supporting pupils with personal care if required
- Creating a positive and safe learning environment
- Attending and contributing to staff meetings and training sessions
