Chichester College, part of the Chichester College Group Additional Learning Support Apprenticeship Co-ordinator [Ref: CC9088] Pro rata of £27,785 - £30,364 per annum (i.e. £13,892.50 - £15,182) 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them thrive in their apprenticeships? Chichester College is seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join our Apprenticeships and Work-Based Learning team on a part time basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on learners’ lives by guiding them through their training and development journey. Reporting to the Head of SEND and ALS (West), you will provide tailored support to apprentices with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom. Your work will focus on helping learners develop independent study skills, employability strategies, and confidence in applying their learning in practical work environments. You’ll collaborate closely with employers and colleagues to ensure each learner receives the right support to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for assessing learners’ needs, developing individualised support plans, and delivering targeted interventions that promote independence. This includes interpreting and delivering training sessions, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with awarding body standards and college quality assurance processes. Regular reviews and close liaison with curriculum and pastoral teams will be essential to ensure learners remain on track. Our ALS Apprenticeship Co-ordinator will have experience supporting young people with additional needs and neurodivergent conditions, as well as a strong understanding of techniques that promote independent learning. You should be confident in developing and delivering training, and in monitoring learner progress. Experience within post-16 education or training is desirable, though not essential.
