An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the dedicated team at a Tier 3, RCVS-accredited small animal hospital in Chippenham, North Wiltshire.

About the Practice

This progressive, RCVS-accredited practice has been at the heart of Wiltshire life since the early 20th century, with branches in Calne, Corsham, and Melksham supporting the main Chippenham hospital. The hospital holds ISFM Cat Friendly Practice Gold status and is equipped to an exceptionally high standard, with expansion plans that include a new CT scanner.

The friendly day team includes 14 FTE vets, 12 FTE RVNs, 3 SVNs, and 5 FTE ACAs, supported by a dedicated reception and administration team.

Location Highlights

Situated close to the M4 and just five minutes from the train station, the hospital is perfectly placed for easy commuting. The area offers the best of both worlds: the natural beauty of the Cotswolds and the cultural attractions of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, and even London—only an hour away by train.

The Role

• Full-time (38 hours per week) across 4 days
• Balanced time between hospital and branch shifts, with flexibility to suit individual needs
• Fair weekend day rota for a healthy work/life balance
• No night work

• RCVS membership and two additional professional subscriptions paid

• Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental, and surrogacy pay
• Discounted veterinary fees
• Cycle to Work scheme
