The hours of work are 24.25 per week: Monday to Friday between 8.40am and 13.45pm with an unpaid morning break. This is a term time only contract commencing ASAP. Under the direction and supervision of the class teacher core responsibilities include:
Working as an LSA in Yr4 and Year 5Following the instructions of the class teacher and SENCOClarifying and explaining instructions Communicating effectivelyMotivating pupils to learn Organising the learning environment Key Accountabilities will be: Assisting in the delivery of day to day learning activities Discussing with and reporting back to teacher on pupil’s work Organising and maintaining the learning environment Working as part of a team Maintaining confidentiality inside and outside the workplace Understanding and applying school policiesWhat we can offer you: Term time only workingA lovely setting with excellent facilitiesA buddy/mentor to help you settle inTraining to carry out your roleSupportive colleaguesEnthusiastic childrenFree on site parkingFree places in our breakfast and after school club for any of your children who attend our school on the days while you are working in this facilityClose links to the local community and churchAn extremely active and supportive parent community (FOTSA)Membership of the Surrey Pension SchemeOccupational Health support as requiredEasy commuting: Staines-upon-Thames, Virginia Water, Egham and Chertsey Town Centre are all less than a 10 minute drive awayThe LSA may be required to undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the class teacher Successful applicants must be able to support the distinctive Christian ethos of our school but do not have to be a practising Christian.Thorpe Church of England Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
