Catherine Junior School is in the heart of Leicester City. We serve a diverse community with whom we have strong links. There are over 20 languages represented in our school as well as a variety of cultures and religions, all of which are celebrated and respected. As a result of internal promotion and re-organisation, we have three vacancies for experienced teaching assistants to join our established and effective learning support team. Our teaching assistants work flexibly, supporting our classroom teaching staff, as well as working with specific children who have additional learning and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will have an excellent command of the English language (to include speaking and written skills) and should take a flexible, adaptable and professional approach to their work. Applicants must have GCSE English & Maths, NVQ2 in literacy and numeracy or an equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of working in schools.
