1:12 Gastroenterology inpatient cover at Royal Berkshire Hospital GI bleed on call 2-3 clinics per week 2-3 endoscopy lists per week (including service and training lists) Vetting and validating endoscopy, GP and ward referrals Involvement in the Rapid Diagnostic Centre programme supporting Upper GI & Colorectal 2WW referrals You will be expected to develop the gastroenterology service in collaboration with consultant colleagues. Responsibilities This post is for a substantive member of the Consultant team focused on core Gastroenterology outpatient and endoscopy procedures. There are many opportunities to drive the service forward and we are looking for a can-do appointee to seek out these improvement. Support registrars and nurses in training during clinics and endoscopy where appropriate Active participation in monthly departmental clinical governance meetings and specialty business meetings Weekly attendance at Consultant team meetings Educational supervision of registrars, nurse specialists and physician associates as required
