We are currently seeking an experience Registered Nurse to join the Outpatients team within St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery.

The department is the hub for the plastic surgery services across the region, with spoke clinics in other locations and both adult and children's trained nurses work alongside each other treating patients of all ages.

The work here is varied. In addition to providing clinical and administrative support for the consultants in their clinics, nurses are required to work in the minor operations theatre and in the nurse led dressings and hand clinic services. You may also sometimes be asked to work in a spoke site location. An interest in wound care is essential and candidates must have excellent organisational and communication skills and as an essential requirement for this post, must be able to drive.

• Assess, plan implement and evaluate holistic, high quality and individualised care which respect patients dignity and personal beliefs.

• Maintain and promote effective communication within the care team and with colleagues, patients, relatives and visitors.
• Act as a mentor to students and newly qualified staff, including teaching and assessing within their realm of confidence, upholding the philosophy of evidence based practice.
• Maintain a professional profile and develop skills, knowledge and competencies adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and trust policies and procedures.
• Act as patient advocate
• Cover out-lying clinics at other sites.
