A thriving, well-equipped veterinary practice just outside Nottingham is searching for an experienced and inspiring Lead Veterinary Surgeon to guide their talented team.
This progressive practice boasts separate operating theatres, digital X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy, plus easy access to MRI and CT scanners—everything needed to deliver exceptional care to a busy and varied caseload.
The Opportunity
The incoming Lead Vet will champion clinical excellence while shaping a positive, collaborative culture. Working alongside an experienced vet, an outstanding Head Veterinary Nurse, three dedicated nurses, two client support assistants, and an office manager, they will ensure every patient receives gold-standard treatment and every client feels heard and reassured.
Responsibilities include:
• Leading by example in consultations and surgeries, supporting nurse clinics and Schedule 3 procedures
• Designing tailored treatment plans with clear, compassionate client communication
• Maintaining regulatory, practice, and operational compliance
• Mentoring, developing, and inspiring colleagues to achieve their best

An RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with proven clinical skills, a passion for leadership, and a genuine commitment to patient care. The ideal candidate will combine surgical and medical expertise with the ability to coach and motivate, ensuring the whole team thrives.
